Most of the drama I watched (such as Korea and Singapore drama), there would be a scene that has either the leading actor or actress crying and clutching on their heart. People call this "heartbreak" or "heartache".
I guess the causing of such symptom is because of the lack of breathing. Mostly, you could feel this at its climax while you're crying. When you're crying, I doubt you hardly breathe. In the process, you're causing your heart to pump faster. Therefore, less breathing and more work from heart could be the reason for the heartache.
Although saying that, I still think that our emotion has its part to play on the heartache. From personal recount, I could feel a tremendous heartache even before crying and when you start crying, the climax would come.
OK, why am I talking about all this... I guess is out of random...
